Joe D. Matheny
Chairman
Joe Matheny was elected to the Commission in 1997 from District 2. He is a resident of Titusville, where he has practiced law since 1963.

 

Ralph J. Kennedy
Secretary/Treasurer
Merritt Island resident Ralph Kennedy has served on the Board since November 1990 and is elected from District 4. Kennedy owns his own construction business, R.J. Kennedy Construction.

 

Tom Goodson
Vice-Chairman
Tom Goodson, representing District 3, is a Rockledge businessman who owns Goodson Paving and Seminole Curbs.

 

Raymond P. Sharkey
Commissioner
Elected from District 1 in 1995, Raymond Sharkey is a Titusville resident who served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force. He is a retired Lockheed-Martin aerospace manager.

 

Charles Ragland
Commissioner
The Governor appointed Cocoa Beach resident Charles Ragland in May 2008 to fill the remainder of the late Commissioner Rodney Ketcham's term. A special election will be held in November. Ragland, a retired restaurant owner, currently is employed with business consulting firm CDR Enterprises of Florida.

The Canaveral Port Authority Board of Commissioners and Staff mourn the loss of Vice Chairman Rodney S. Ketcham, a true gentleman and guiding light in local government for half a century. He was a valuable and inspirational member of the Port Authority and he will be truly missed.
